Your engagement marks the beginning of such a beautiful chapter — a season filled with joy, anticipation, and all the little moments that make your heart flutter. As you step into this journey, I’m honored you’ve found your way here.
At With Love Wedding Co., my purpose is simple: to help you feel calm, supported, and surrounded by love as your wedding day comes to life.

My name is Melissa, and my life has been a journey shaped by love, movement, and more than a decade of saying “yes” to every opportunity the wedding world has offered me.
I grew up in southern Ontario until I was twenty‑five, when an unexpected opportunity swept me off to Calgary. I packed my life, took a leap, and had no idea that move would change everything. Because Alberta is where I met my love — born and raised right here on Prince Edward Island — and where our own love story quietly began.
After four years out west, life shifted. The world paused, plans changed, and COVID brought us home to PEI. And in that move, something beautiful happened: I finally found the place where my heart felt settled. The island gave me space to breathe, to heal, and to follow the dream I’d carried with me through every province — building my own wedding business.
It’s here, surrounded by ocean, quiet roads, and the softest sunsets, that With Love Wedding Co. came to life.
But the biggest part of my story will always be my parents. They were — and still are — my favorite love story. The kind of relationship you look at and think, “That’s what I want someday.” I shaped my own relationship after theirs, carrying their warmth, humor, and kindness with me. Losing them both changed me forever, and honoring them in everything I do has become the heartbeat of With Love Wedding Co. The poppy floral in my Monogram is for them — a quiet reminder that love leaves a legacy.
My Experience in the Wedding World
Over the last thirteen years, I’ve worked in almost every corner of the wedding industry — often joking that there isn’t a job I haven’t done. My career has been a patchwork of roles that taught me how weddings truly work behind the scenes, and each one shaped the way I support my couples today.
I started as a Banquets Lead Server, working more than 300 weddings in three years. I learned timing, flow, service, and how to gracefully handle everything from missing bouquets to runaway groomsmen. It was fast, fun, chaotic, and I loved every second.
From there, I became a bridal and wedding party stylist, working in four stores across three provinces. I helped brides find their dream dresses, calmed nerves, zipped gowns, pinned veils, and witnessed countless “this is the one” moments. It taught me how emotional and personal weddings truly are.
I’ve worked in event rentals, learning the magic of linens, arches, backdrops, and all the little details that transform a space. I’ve done decor setup and tear down, turning empty rooms into romantic celebrations — and then packing them back up at midnight with sore feet and a full heart. I’ve even done catering delivery, because sometimes the wedding world needs you to be flexible, fast, and willing to carry ten chafing dishes at once.
And today, I’m a Banquets Captain, a role I’ve held for almost four years. It’s where everything I’ve learned comes together — leadership, timing, coordination, calm problem‑solving, and making events happen exactly the way they’re meant to. I’m given instructions, and I bring them to life with precision, care, and creativity. That’s the energy I bring to my couples: organized, warm, steady, and ready for anything.
Every job, every move, every wedding has been part of my journey — and it’s given me the experience, empathy, and heart to support couples in a way that feels personal, intentional, and beautifully human.
Long before I ever stepped into the wedding industry, I was a theatre kid — happiest on stage, never shy, and always ready to speak from the heart. Public speaking has never intimidated me; it’s always felt natural, joyful, and deeply connected to who I am.
Even in high school, I dreamed of performing weddings. I wanted to be the person who stood with couples in the very first moments of their marriage — guiding them through a ceremony filled with meaning, warmth, and a touch of fun.
Becoming a Marriage Commissioner made that dream real.
Today, I’m honored to have performed over 25 ceremonies, each one crafted with heartfelt storytelling, gentle humor, and a deep respect for the love being celebrated. My officiating style is warm, joyful, and personal — a blend of theatre‑kid confidence and genuine emotional connection.
